Dear Temesgen,
I am impressed by the maturity of all the writers of your megazin.Yesterday I read all the pages and I enjoyed many of them. One of them which I enjoyed was the letter by a newly emerging Journalist Woldegebriel Gebrehiwot of Mekelle university, which I felt touched by the factuallity and contents of the letter.I felt as if I was speaking the painDefinitely, I am impressed by it.Of course, I always get impressed by the young and dareful writers of feteh.Go on doing so please.
in towns outside of addis ababa it is becoming hard to buy and read fetehe newspaper as vendors are forced not to sell fetehe as well as readers are told not to buy it the security personnel.
The originator of the idea of African Union were the Casablanca and the Monrovia groups, not Haile Selassie. And yet, without the fatherly role played and a compromising spirit ushered by him, the charter that lead to the formation of OAU would not have been signed. Therefore, as far as the coming into being of OAU is concerned, there were 3 equally important forces. During the meeting, if any of these forces did not play its role the way it did, the charter would not have been signed and in effect there would have been no OAU. So we need to have a joint statue of three persons. And these 3 persons are 1) Kuame representing the Casablanka group, 2) One person representing the Monorovia group and, 3) Haile Selasse between the two. I think this kind of statue will make everybody happy and would generate less controversy!
